Extracurricular
We offer a variety of opportunities beyond the classroom experience! From extracurricular activities, clubs, events, and athletic events, AHS covers all of your needs.
In order to participate, students must complete the required forms and submit proof of wellness from his or her family doctor.
For athletic events, announcements, and highlights, follow us on Facebook.
Athletic event schedules are available on our website calendar featured on our homepage, or linked in the athletic page (click red link heading).

Visual Arts
Cherokee County has a thriving arts community with a wealth of potters, weavers, metalworkers, glass blowers, painters and other artists. Local artists often present in our visual arts classes and sometimes serve as substitute teachers!

Theater Arts
Theater programs partner with the Community Youth Players/Act 2 at the Valleytown Cultural Arts Center to put on performances for the community. Each semester features a new performance. Previous shows have included Seussical the Musical, The Little Mermaid, and The Hiding Place. Students have options for participation. Whether they prefer to stand in the spotlight, design props and costumes, run the audio, or direct, there is a role for everyone!
