Wildcat Central

School is out for SUMMER!!

Summer Office Hours  8:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00  Monday-Thursday

New students
If you have new neighbors or know of any students who need to register at any of the Andrews Schools it is very important that they drop by and begin the registration process.

Home School Students
If you have friends or neighbors who currently home school their high school students but are considering having them attend AHS, we would love to include them in the registration process.  If they have questions about AHS or would like to attend the 8th grade dinner and registration workshops, they are welcome to join us.

Free and Reduced Lunch
Free and reduced lunch forms were mailed to students' home addresses.  They are also available at the Cherokee County School website.

Congratulations to Joslyn Parker, our 2014 AHS Teacher of the Year!

Thank You
A big thank you to the volunteers that came and helped to proctor our Finals and End of Course Exams.   We appreciate your time.  Your support made testing go very well.

Report Cards

We are still on hold for handing out report cards.  We are unable to get the results of the English II exams and we need these scores to finalize the grades.

We hope to have the report cards by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.  There will be an alert now call when they are ready.

Summer School:  Summer School is being  held Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 27 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Summer school is for students who have failed a core class (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) with an average of at least a 60 or failed because of attendance.  Meet in the Distance Learning computer lab at 8:00 am

Getting Ready for College:  All members of the Class of 2015 and your parents are invited to Tri-County Community College any night next week, June 16 through 19 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Enloe Building.

This is a great workshop with information about what students and parents should do to get ready for college.   Representatives from a variety of colleges will be present.  Please plan to attend at least one evening.

Wildcat Club Golf Tournament:  The Annual Wildcat Club Golf Tournament will be Saturday, July 12 at Chatuge Shores.  If you are interested in being a hole sponsor, donating door prizes or entering a team, please contact Cindy Bateman at 361-1799.  The cost is $50 per player or $200 per team.  You can also sign up at Chatuge Shores or call 389-9040.  This is a major fundraiser for the Wildcat Club and a great way to support the Wildcats.
