We offer a variety of opportunities beyond the classroom experience! From extracurricular activities, clubs, events, and athletic events, AHS covers all of your needs.
Athletics
In order to participate, students must complete the required forms and submit proof of wellness from his or her family doctor.

Music
At AHS, our marching band and choral groups have received many accolades. If you're interested in learning how to play an instrument, how to sing, or more about reading music, we have the program for you!
Visual Arts
Cherokee County has a thriving arts community with a wealth of potters, weavers, metalworkers, glass blowers, painters and other artists. Local artists often present in our visual arts classes and sometimes serve as substitute teachers!

Theater classes partner with the Valleytown Cultural Arts group to put on performances for the community. Each semester features a new performance. Previous shows have included Seussical the Musical, The Little Mermaid, and The Hiding Place. Students have options for participation. Whether they prefer to stand in the spotlight, design props and costumes, run the audio, or direct, there is a role for everyone!
